Meet Grace.
Grace had recently been made redundant for the first time in her long and successful career. She had successfully navigated life, countries and multiple companies throughout her life, but being made redundant was a huge knock to her confidence – especially when it came at a time when the job market was bad, and her support system was not consistently available for her.
She felt alone, unwanted and unvalued.
Her confidence was leaving her quickly.

Grace reached out to me for help. She understood in theory that redundancy was not her fault, and that the job market was difficult so finding a job would take time – but she felt as though life’s stormy seas were continuously battering her, so she could not get her head above water. She needed help!
We started with grounding. We breathed together, letting out the stress of the current moment.
Due to the market, Grace needed to stand out in interviews. And her experience already did.
What was holding her back was her struggle to show her value to the company, reframing her work experience into business success stories where she had determined the outcome of the work. Grace and I spent some time going over her CV, reframing her experience into business value.
We then discussed doing the same thing at interview. Going over answers and reframing them in terms of outcome to the business, rather than simply tasks done.
I armed Grace with simple morning mantras, the ‘Change Me’ prayer by Tosha Silver and positive reframing techniques to turn her confidence around. We worked through to the root of her confidence issue – which came from a childhood incident – and I offered alternative perspectives for her to think about in between sessions.
In only 2 sessions, she was smiling and finding joy again.
After three sessions, she nailed a 2nd round interview and was buzzing.
After 4 sessions, she had been offered a job she was happy with, at a salary over her expectations.
Goooooo Grace!
